HH Scott Speakers?

I wonder if that Philips tweeter might be a replacement - most Scotts of this era used cone tweeters, and I think I might see in the upper right signs that there once was a screw hole - there appears to be a little ridge like those made by screws peaking out from behind the foam gasket.
I could be mistaken, since I seem to remember the Scott Pro series - I had the 70s - used the Philips dome. And mistaken or not, the dome might be considered by many listeners to be an improvement.

yes for the higher frequencies but may not go as low as the original paper cone tweeter

Philips tweeters did come in later Scotts. I just got a pair of earlier s-10s with 3.5" cone tweeters and it's amazing how deep the tweeters go.

Malden - I agree that the domes don't go as deep, which will affect frequency response, uniformity of polar response, and power handling. Which is why I said many listeners might think them an improvement, rather than saying that it would definitely be an improvement. But if Scott switched to the domes perhaps it a clear improvement, though it would be interesting to see if they crossover was changed to suit the domes better.
