Do a search for EIA codes and how to read them. The codes reveal the speaker manufacturer and the dates the speakers were made.

"Becker Speakers were made in southern New Jersey. They weren't bad at all for their price, and often showed up in trade ratings based upon their price-to-performance. They sold into some of the larger electronics chains (both under their own name and private label) and also supplied pro audio and custom installation markets. I remember one line they had back in the 60's which were known for decent sound from relatively thin cabinets, an unusual combination at that time. I think Becker is still produced today by the son or grandson of the guy who started the company."
