I have a 330c that I had big plans for, years ago. I still intend to make the mods - a move intervened, and other gear came into the picture. Here is a link to where I got to with my thinking and fellow AKer's help:

The picture links are broken - the hosting site changed the directory and I haven't fixed the links. Also, the 330B is a different circuit. But, this may encourage you and give you some food for thought. I do intend to get back into this unit - right now, I have a big Sony on the bench, waiting on some parts.
Good luck with your project and I will be watching with interest. There are certainly better techs than me on this site, and hopefully you can pick up a project sponsor.
