test ride - 51-52 mph sitting up. 56 mph tucked. Nice and stable. Should be some more there when it loosens up a little.

It looks like a great little beginner bike. I grew up riding little Hondas, CT 70's, CB 125's, even had a 305 scrambler for a while, if it wasn't for the little starter bikes I don't know if I'd have the passion for bikes that I have today.

I've got an XR70 on the stand right now getting new tubes and tires, and a needle and seat for the carb. It should be good to go for the kids for many years to come.

Thos little Hondas are almost indestructable.:thmbsp:

My first motorcycle was a Suzuki TC90, a two-stroke enduro with a two-speed transfer case and four normal gears. Great for trails (not jumping but climbing). I loved that little sucker.

When I had my TC90, my best buddy had the 'Combat Wombat' if you recall that one from Hodaka. It was a better off-road bike than my Suzuki, but I still liked mine.

Yeah, I had a cool used Hodaka 125, I believe it was a Wombat, before I got that one. It was freakin quick ! Made the Toad seem like a snail. Couldn't get caught at that age riding anything larger that 100cc on road at the time.

My first bike was a Honda XL125s. I loved that bike! I was finally free and could come and go anywhere I wanted to. I was 16 at the time.

I was eleven, it was a Honda Z50 which I quickly out grew, but that thing was indestructible.

Gack - $3k seems pricey for that, but I'm obviously out of date on new bike prices.

As expected, American Honda announced that the Taiwan-built, fuel-injected,
125cc Grom will be for sale in the U.S. as a 2014 model, priced at $2999.

+TTT and your up over 3800 real quick. Freaking insane.


I just passed on a nice vfr800 with pipes for 3400. There are tons of nice
bikes going for less than 3 G's.
