wondering since the tweeters are on the bottom. I know they were meant for studio, possibly on their sides with tweeters out? but I dont have space for that... so upside down? or tweeters on the bottom?:sigh:

I ed to have a pair. I tried both ways and they do work well either way. It is more important to have them off the ground say a foot or two. Try both ways and decide.

Like this, angled so that the tweeters are at the same distance (roughly 1,5 meter) and angle from my head. Damn, are these things directional!

And don't worry, the temp isn't actually 27°C, it's just my cheap clock being six degrees off ;)

I have mine 2 feet off the floor, upside down so the woofers are on the bottom. But that's so the tweets are clear of the big arm on my wife's nearby queen chair.

In someone else's room :) Just kidding have a love/hate relationship with them (and many other JBL Studio speakers), they need room to breath, so try not to have anything around then and nothing in between them that projects forward, do an equal triangle with them pointed at your shoulders, near to mid field, tweeters on the bottom just below ear level. That is how they are supposed to sound, after trying that, throw them on a short stand a from the floor tilted back a bit and hook them up to a tube amp or a nice vintage SS amp, then they are great for playback far field.

Cheers,
Ian
