What's your budget for a TT? Forget the mid Sansui TT's and go straight for a SR-838. Watch eBay cafefully and you can land one in the low $200's.

I have an sr-535 that I converted to fully manual, sounds decent but I would go with an AR or Thorens if I were you.......they sound so much better and are not much more. For a mid range cart Grado's are good, so is the Audio Technica AT440Mla (the latter sounding better to me). Best of luck, Nick

I use an FR 4060 in a secondary system and have been happy with it. Pictures are on the Sansui Board here if you want to see it. Just Search Sumiko turntable. I like the sound and the cost was inexpensive. I'm using an old Sumiko Bluepoint and it sounds good.
