Idiot mittens

On the TV front:

Only having 7 or 8 TV stations available (and that`s if you were lucky)
No remote
A 19-inch screen was considered to be "LARGE"
"Rabbit ears" antennas that sat on top of the set (often with tinfoil on them, to enhance the signal capture)
A working TV, stacked on top of a non-working TV ( :-) )

Saturday night Lawrence Welk
Sunday night Ed Sullivan
And a few years thereafter, Hee Haw on Saturday night (1969-92)

A pair of metal clothes hangers untwisted did the same job for much cheaper!

the kids with the hoop and stick would be envious of a fine box like that.

Vintage percolators get used every day in my house....
(1955 Universal Coffeematic....chrome over solid copper, the way they used to build `em here in US and A....)

Te-Te, is that your copper Coffeematic ? That`s a beauty !
Here`s another of mine, this was their TOTL model (circa 1956). All interior parts are polished stainless, rather than aluminum, like all their other models. And, it has an adjustable thermostat switch on the bottom, which was exclusive to this model. Price was $33.95, which was about a half a week`s take-home pay for the average working stiff back then !

MaxxVolume, That's a beauty also! Actually l like both models you have. The copper coffematic is the only model I own and love. I also have three different size Farberware percs. The old coffee makers are the best and were built to last. I also enjoy using the stove top perc at my camp. Thank's for sharing your pics.
