IE Security Threat!

Firefox is slow and erratic, and Google already know too much about me and what I do so I try not to use Chrome. As mentioned previously, don't click on stupid **** and stay off the porn sites and you will not have to worry about 99% of the threats out there.

Some IE versions are faster? ...Like from Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1?

Is this how it works? ::

- Windows XP = IE version 7
- Vista = IE v. 8
- 7 = IE v. 9
- 8 = IE v. 10
- 8.1 = IE v. 11

Also, the faster it operates the faster we get viruses?
Would it be better to use Windows Me, or 2000, or 98, or 95, ..., or 1.01 (1985)? ...Less faster to get viruses?

Or would it be better all together to use a different browser like Google Chrome, or Firefox, or Bing, or Ask, or Linux, or Tapatalk, or Apple (MacPro computer, iMac)?

I'm very bad when it comes to this stuff (PCs and all).

* By the way, earlier today I totally lost Google Chrome (complete blue screen), and I couldn't do anything at all!
I had to call a tech to restore it; first time ever in my life.

How come did I lose my main home page; Google Chrome???
The tech said it's just a normal glitch, what!!! ...He said PCs and laptops experience glitches occasionally, what!!!
* I've never lost Google Chrome before, but that's from my old PC. ...This totally new glitch happened on my brand new laptop!

Major help required, please? ...Should I replace my brand new Sony laptop?
...Some to do with Microsoft? ...Windows 8.1? ...Internet Explorer? ...Sony VAIO settings and updates and downloads???
I was totally freeking (freak) out, and now I feel completely unsecured about the future of my brand new laptop! ...And I fear for my own life too; peace of mind!

Please, help!

I hear you there. I'm weaning myself off of all things google these days. Been doing searches with DuckDuckGo and finding my way with Mapquest.

If this was a simple normal glitch, it was a major one to me!
There is no way I could have fixed it myself; that's why I had to call an emergency tech guy. ...I think he deleted Google Chrome from the download programs, and re-installed it all over again, with several moves in many sectors that I am totally unaware of! It took him about half hour.
Is this going to happen again!!!???!!!

Because my support now has only few days left. ...After that I'm all on my own! ...Or unless I want to pay! ...No freakin' way, I just lost my wallet in the lake this morning, and with it all my credit cards! I was fishing and fighting with a big fish, and "pop" my wallet in the lake! ...Roughly 300 feet deep! ...If not more.

So, I don't need to lose anymore stuff right now, and certainly not Google Chrome again!

Talk about a losing day! :(

Are you guys under surveillance? ...Observatory? ...You think the FBI has some to do with it?
In 2014 are we safe? ...I highly doubt that, not since 2001, and even before.
Communication Electronics Equipment (CEE); PCs, Macs, laptops, tablets, smartphones, cell phones, etc., are information devices available to several organisations. ...And that information is not private; do certainly not count on it!

So porn sites are that bad? ...So why they still even exist? ...If the bad sites out there are giving people viruses and all that bad **** to screw their computers; why does the government or the CIA or the FBI or the Federal Commission of Tobacco and Firearms of America doesn't shut them down?
...They are certainly no better than Donald Sterling. ;)

Heck, no. Just hate all the tracking that manifests itself as targeted ads on too many sites these days. Pisses me off because it reminds me how cool the internet was before the entertainment industry got their hooks into it.
 
I see; you go to amazon for checking something out, and then later on you are assaulted by adds from what you were looking for earlier! ...And everywhere you go, even here at AK!

Is there a way to ban all adds all the time; to get rid of them? ...A feature somewhere from your browser that gives you that option? ...Because me too I would love to know.

This is a real drag about IE and Windows XP. ...Because of no more support now with XP, then IE is very vulnerable to all sort of attacks and viruses and over 25 million people still using Windows XP are at risk!

Support should always exist, no matter how old is your OS. ...Same thing with HDTVs, same thing with Blu-ray players, smartphones, tablets, cars, etc., because if they don't support no more it means only money is their true agenda, and not the good benefit of people, our society.

And today in the world we live, updates and support are the standard of our evolution.
If you don't it means you don't support normal evolution, and you go down deeper into the financial crisis and people annihilation (extreme frustration and high stress level).
...Not good, not good at all; in particular when you have those companies and people running them who have trillions of dollars!
 
...If we would all decide out of the sudden to switch over to Apple, then the support and protection from Microsoft would be right back!
...And no more IE bullshit, and all that jazz. ...Viruses, and diseases in the world.

Install "Ghostery" :yes:

I used to get freaked out by seeing adds appearing all over the place for things I had just searched for !!!

Not any more with Ghostery installed. :smoke:

Was welcomed this morning to yet another Windows update. This one must be important being out of sequence to Update Tuesdays.

I don't use IE on my pc's because of all the risks.
Is there a easy way to completely get rid of IE.
I have tried it a couple of times without success and it broke my Windows Update.

After all those years they still have the same bugs in IE as there were in the beginning.
It's sad to see that this bug was not only in Ie11 but in all versions.
 
Just leave it where it is - accept all updates for it, and otherwise don't use it and you will be unlikely to suffer from its vulnerabilities.
