Of course, people look at the first thing first. What's wrong is putting the least reliable answer first.

I have a page for AK on my home screen. If I have that open, minimized, then look for something, open the page, then try to go beck to (what should be) my open AK page, but it's gone.
 
I have DDG bit don't regularly use it enough.
Prompted by the thread, did a test run request "who invented headphones?" and got the same erroneous results as Google. Requirements for due diligence are similar, the info is only as good as the sources cited regardless of the tool.
 
You get the chance to op out before it starts using AI for your searches.

That is what I did awhile ago.
 
Also, in your Google settings, look for the Experimental AI tab on the left, open it to see if it's deactivated.

Don't know exactly what all it controls though.

The example of the canyons is a fairly simple thing to figure out. When far more complex things are considered by AI, how much of that is going to be fact, or just some crap it pulled out of it's memory?
A memory that was made by humans feeding it information. How much of that information is false or inaccurate?

AI is just wrong in my book.
