If the cabinets are in real nice condition, the drivers all work, and the foams are good, $350 for a local pick-up doesn't seem too awful high to me. You might try offering something less than that and see if they're willing to bargin a little.
I had the CD player. Paid $250 new about 13 years ago. It just died on me. So that one may be about ready too itself. Didn't die, just couldn't play a CD anymore without skipping.
I'm not buying he paid over $2400 for it.
