This staples on second photo are original ?? Infinity used tacker ?? I ask because I have the same and I think that maybe someone repaired this.

Nice idea with cover, I will do the same but with oak.

From recent observations.

I started making grills yesterday and put on John Lee Hooker's "Burnin" vinyl ... and that was the end of the job. I drove away. Chills, chills, palpitations. RS2.5 are the most blues sounds I've ever heard. This morning, a house just for me .. and for John. I'm sitting, listening and trying to put this message together for an hour, but it's hard when the feet and hands keep moving to his music.

The blues given by RS2.5 is my new love.

Yes I recovered them. The original staples were black.

I prefer special glue for audio fabric.

Aesthetics is important to me. I've removed the staples and the next part of the RS2.5 looks much better:

I started with crossovers:

- For 3,83 uF in HF section I ordered Auricap XO



I use it in my another speaker and sounds really good.

- For 50 and 125 uF I ordered Audio Note Kaisei Non-polar



New face of Rubycon Black Gate WKZ produced in the same factory with the same materials by the Rubycon specialist.

I still think what to do with 700uF and 1100uF, I checked all and all parameters are better then new one.It is difficult to find new big caps with such a low ESR.

and...because I very like this extended high tones from Yamaha M4 I bought another one. One M4 by each side of my RS2.5

I still wait for capacitors but I found really good system to drive my RS2.5 - M4 twins with C4 sound excellent !!!

My RS2.5 get spikes.



Now you can not hear the glass in the cabinets, the fireplace does not buzz, the couch does not bounce even though the bass has become deeper and it sounds to the end. Bass is fat as piggy before slaughter and goes into the air, not into the floor.

I finished works with my Arcam Alfa 5+ CD player. Power supply mod, NOS mod, opamps mod, recap, etc. Now on RS2.5... OMG my the best source. Modified TDA1541 sounds greater and bigger, more dynamically and with more three-dimensional space than everything what I heard in my home.

Nice work. I have to say that seeing the cover on makes the original uncovered top look incomplete.

Because in vertical biamp if I turn volume to max level overload diode blink only on channels with connected HF, I done some experiment. I changed cables to horizontal biamp and one Yamaha M4 drives only HF, socond M4 only LF. Both Yamas I connected thrue energy counter and I played music. In the same time when LF M4 consumpcion was 200-300W, HF M4 took about 500W.

It mean that in RS2.5 not Watkins but EMITs and EMIMs are hungry for power. It explains why on my tube amp bass was strong but treble was completely hidden.

and replaced it with new 30ppi acoustic foam



Maybe not looks like original but is aesthetic
