Infinity RS2.5 - fully working and ready to be renewed

Beautiful work as usual, that looks factory done !
I agree-excellent wood working skills.
It's nice to see someone really put in the effort to make these classic pieces look frankly better then the did new.
I agree-Infinity in many cases made some really nice speaker cabinets that-IMHO look great, and still fit in 30+ years later.
Never was a huge fan of the semi transparent grill cloth-I went with a dark navy cloth from Simply Speakers.
Not that the transducers look bad-I just don't want to look at them on a daily basis.

I pulled my 2.5’s out and watched Blade Runner the final cut on the new system, 400 watts of McIntosh power to each speaker and was Quickly reminded why I should keep them. I was Totally immersed in the movie because of the sound, in that regard I don’t think I’ve ever heard any speaker do what the 2.5’s can. The strength of that woofer in that cabinet married with the Emims is flat out astonishing !

Have you tried yours with movies Martynka ?

My RS2.5 are my only one home theatre system.

I use it with my old Musical Fidelity Digilog DAC where I put valve analog stage. It gives more bass compare to SS DAC.

My family don't want watch movies without Infinity. My youngest son always says " we have own 4D movie". It is because sofa is shaking and woofers almost blow out popcorn. You don't need 5.1 or more system, power of the movie is in powerful hi fi.

That’s a great description ! I like it and agree, at least in our small place the 2 channel and 2.5 is more than enough ! I don’t know what it is but the woofer in this speaker is just damn impressive, more than any other Infinity speaker I’ve heard, don’t know if it’s the cabinet shape, volume or both ? Who knows but infinity got it right !

And that’s great your kids get to experience that . Future Infinity audiophile’s in the making Dad !
