Best bet is to just change the shaft(not unsolder the bizillion wires) once you get a donor switch.
New faceplates are also available should you need one if yours got bent or scratched.

Might be the route I go if I can find one. Ive carved a groove into the broken shaft with a razor blade, I can switch it but I want it fixed. Also when I switch it dosent click into position, im thinking something inside might have taken some damage also. Found a couple metal ball bearings loose inside when i took the bottom off. Did they come from the switch?

There are a couple of small b b's (balls) that serve as the detents in the switch so yes they probably fell out but I never take that section of the switch apart when I swap out the shaft assembly.
It's not for the faint of heart but if you take your time and have steady hands it beats the alternative by a mile.

Hi
Anyone got any sources for a new compatible replacement of protection relay for Marantz 2265?
Thanks

I would ask in the Marantz forum. That's how I found the relays I needed for my Marantz gear. Depending on the Marantz model you may have to pop the plastic cover off the new relay and swap a couple wires, but some are just drop in.
