Jamo?

Hello all, anyone with listening time or own jamo speakers. My search for some really good bookshelf sized speakers has presented a pair of jamo D 430 . thoughts, opinions?? Thanks!

I remember the first time I heard of Jamo speakers back in the mid/late 80s. I'd never heard of the brand before that and thought with a name like "Jam-oh" or "Ja-moh" surely they are like White Van speakers.

But, of course, I learned they are not White Van speakers, and are "Ya-mo" or "Yay-mo" (or something along that line), but not "Jam-oh".

Thanks to all for the feed back! Having a tough time finding any good info on these. They look great for what that's worth. Bi amp 4 ohm 140 rms 200 watts peak going to upload a pic

Local dealer (closed) carried Jamo when the D430s were new; mid and higher lines were nice speakers.
I had a pair of D430s for a while, I liked them. Sold them to a friend when the upgrade bug hit.
I've seen a pair or two for sale, but felt the asking price was too high given the age.

Too many years and pieces of equipment to remember details. I just remember that I liked them.
Probably an SAS Audio 10A tube preamp and an Electron Kinetics Eagle 2 amp in my main larger room system, no idea what I had in the 12'x14' spare bedroom system at the time.

I have a set (actually three, yes three, no idea where the fourth one went) of A510's that I've used as shop speakers for a few years. They are goofy, white, flat, either hang on the wall or use built in stands, things. But they sound surprisingly good. Dare I say almost ADS-ish.
