Jbl L 36

Hmm depends on the condition honestly. I've seen them 3-600 on the bay, locally that could be close or a few hundred +/- depending that market. Personally I'd be around 250 give or take and that would be dependent upon nice cabs, grills and not needing to be refoamed. However I also have a little of a skewed view on the decade, but some people love them.

I had the little brother of these the L26. I never had a pair of speakers with horn tweeters that were a match for the icepicks the tweeters in those were. As above some people love them but they're not for me.

He’s saying he’s looking for 350-500. I’m not really sure if I should buy. I’d have to sell some things to get them and I’m not sure if it’s worth it and I’d have to drive an hour.

Sounds like he's looking for full market value plus. I've had a few different JBL models and despite all of the crazy values you see online I never managed to get all that much when it came time to sell. Unless they're your dream speakers and they're in mint condition I would pass.

Amen to that. I sold a pair of l’50s that were in great shape and had been gone through for only 250$. I’m getting sick of the crazy prices I’m being offered lately.... everyone is looking for full market value and doesn’t consider that their stuff will probably need service and a deep cleaning which equals time and money. I collect stuff but I also sell some gear and I never go off of eBay prices. I swear at least ten people send me links to eBay posts and says well there selling for this. I instantly delete the message.

I paid $35 for mine 13 years ago. They needed surrounds, and I was able to handle that myself so they ended up being less than $100. I really enjoy mine, but they need a refoam again.

I had the Decade L-26 (minus the “ice pick” tweeters) some time ago, and sooner or later that Decade line needs re-foaming and possibly new crossovers.

A respectable speaker for rock, but that’s a very high asking price for its big brother. Even in really mint condition, it might be hard to get your $ out of them.
