Sonically the NS-1000M should be better.
Both speakers are very collectible so their price goes up from that...
But each speaker is a love-it or hate-it sort of speaker, lots of fans and lots of haters.
Really depends on price and condition which is the better buy, also which ones you like more...

They are 2 different types of speakers at 2 different price points. The yamaha's cost a lot more when they were new. I would say without a doubt to get the yamaha's if they are at a similar price point as the JBL's. I think that will be the general consensus of your replies. I will say that the JBL's will have more bass, and the yamaha's will be more accurate.

The fact is that in a country where I live do not have these speakers
I'm going to order via the Internet in the United States JBL or Yamaha in Japan
price of $ 500 for JBL in the U.S. and $ 500 for Yamaha in Japan
Shipping is the same. Therefore the Board at Audiokarma regards to the selection.

How big is the difference in the bass area? JBL will make the floor tremble in my room and the Yamaha does not it?

Yes, just like JBL in the U.S. $ 500
But in the end, taking into account delivery of $ 1000 + 500
Price $ 1500 for both JBL and a Yamaha.

I have 2 pairs of NS-1000M's. If it's floor trembling bass you're after, that not what they do best; I love these speakers for their accuracy. :tresbon:
Also, the glue that holds the woofer magnets to the frames is know to let go during the bangs and bumps of shipping so you might want to give that some thought if the NS-1000M's are making a long trip to you.

If not difficult to - give a few tips on shipping
Ask the seller to pull the woofers out and apply a bead of epoxy glue around the magnet where it interfaces with the frame before shipping. :thmbsp:

You may get the L100 and upgrade it with new xo and improve the cabinet by bracing, or even make new cabinets for them.

I have never heard the Yamaha though. But, I wouldn't get any of them. I would wait for a JBL 4412 or 4412A or 4411. You can find them for about the same price and they are better than L100 in every respect and accurate. You may only need to recap the xo's...
You are paying a fortune for shipping! so it seems selling them is not an easy option for you. I suggest be more patient and go for the better JBL's out there...

When I heard the NS-1000M I was impressed by the speed of it's upper midbass, which made drum impacts in particular sound spectacular. The bass was pretty underwhelming though, especially compared to what I've come to expect from my JBLs. I didn't really hear anything in the midrange or high-end that stood out as amazing compared to what I expect from my JBLs.
But to be fair I have no actual experience with the L100. My JBLs are L150s and L100Ts, both later models with better components than the L100, especially in regards to the tweeter. When I had a pair of L36 speakers, I didn't really care much for the high end produced by the paper tweeters. If the L100 sound is similar in that regard... go for the Yamahas and add in a sub or something, or wait and seek out better JBLs.

About NS-1000M bass response. Have never owned (but have listened to) JBL L100. OK, have been wanting to write this numerous times, flame me for it- the amateurish comment deserves it, but I will refund the airfare home from Japan of anyone who can honest claim that these NS-1000M do not shake the room at loud volume. Perhaps 'loud' is the key word here. Maybe it's an abnormal combination of ancillaries, room, speaker stands and room treatments (I suspect the bass traps' configuration make a significant contribution).
Almost everyone can relate to the DSTOM heartbeat at the beginning of side 1: the floor is vibrating, windows are rattling... can feel the heartbeat from the recording pounding in the chest.
I don't disagree with the general consensus that the bass response can be anaemic in many settings. But give them a chance and they'll give great bass performance.
