I see. I was reading that most listening is done at 1 watt or less, what is the need really for 120 watts available? I mean say the sensitivity is 93db 1w 1m, how many watts are needed to reach the 120db hearing damage level? Then there is the efficiency/sensitivity of the woofers that can be a much bigger factor than the (nominal) impedance itself. I do not know the specs, but let's imagine a scenario where the original woofers have a much higher sensitivity and therefore would be producing a much higher output with the same input level.
At any given level in the above scenario, the original driver would have much higher output than the new woofer relative to the other drivers.
