JBL L300

Totally un-appreciated in my small space. Fell in love with the Harbeths and couldn't have both. The L300's are amazing and do all kinds of music beautifully but I am in a basement suite and they weren't getting used as they need to be.

Wow, I can't imagine selling mine, unless it meant food on the table. Then they would be sold in a heartbeat.

The only way I foresee being able afford to have gear like I have is by scoring like I have. :-) I have been very fortunate indeed.

Q/F/T!

Yes, it happens on rare occasions.
I am getting good at the acronyms here, but I am stumped. What does "Q/F/T" mean?

And just in case I have not said so yet, I am loving the Rotel power amp running these things! Listening to the Piano Guys a lot lately, and it is awesome!

Thanks to another AKer, it looks like I may have a pair of lenses soon. I will be sure to upload pics and give my impression of the sound.

The 2235's look pretty decent, the edge gaskets remind me of what OCS used as replacements. Would be nice though to know when the last refoam was done.

The foam is installed on the back of the cones as well, so I figured whoever did them knew what they were doing. I guess now it comes down the the selling price and the WAF factor. :)

When the woofers are installed, what is the proper polarity? Do they get hooked up reverse, or are they reversed by default?

Man, sorry you lost out on the second pair, they looked good, although I would have wanted to know more about the recone, OEM vs. aftermarket parts. Its common for even OEM recones to not look the same as the originals as the cone materials can vary slightly in color. Sad to see another L300 getting parted out though.

Are you set on getting the JBL 136A alnico drivers or would the 2231H or 2235H ferrite professional equivalents work for you too?

I don't know, 2235H come highly recommended by all here, will the 2231H sound as good? I have never heard any of these yet.
