JBL L65 and its variations.

From what I read, L65 (Jubal), L65a, L65b, any differences in design or would one is better or improved from the other?

The woofers change in each version I believe.

Original L65 comes with 126A woofer, L65A comes with 122A woofer, and the L65B comes with the 129H woofer.

Hmm... it's interesting. So L65b is probably the better of them? Or any improvements to the woofer?

The 126A is lack luster. Both 122A and 129H are great. Mind you my experience is with the 122A in the L65A. The L65A is fabulous. It will not disappoint.

Why is the 128H the recommended replacement?

The 128H-1 is the acoustic equivalent of the 129H which is standard in the L65B. In the L65 and L65A, it's not so therefore they need to be replaced as a pair when only one misbehaves there. The 126A and 122A became NLA for the L65/L65A
