JBL ohm question

I have a pair of JBL Apollo C51's. They are loaded with the LE84 16 ohm horn and the LE14 16 ohm woofer. What ohm speaker post should I use on the Fisher 500b receiver?

If it does not have 16ohm post's then use the 8 ohm posts.

You will have no problem running off of the 16( if there is one) or the 8 ohm tap. Those JBLs are very efficient and will not put much stress on those beefy Fisher output transformers. You can always put your hand on the transformers while running the JBLs off of each tap to see which tap makes them hotter. Obviously use the tap where the trannies are running cooler if you can discern it. Now if you were using electrostats I would be more concerned and run off of a 4 ohm tap or not use that Fisher. You should be totally cool dude off of the 8 ohm tap as many JBL drivers were on the lower impedence side as far as meter impedence readings. Instead of a typical 16 ohm driver reading in the 12 ohm range- I have found that many JBL drivers read right around 8-9 ohms. Go figure
