JVC QL-F4 compatible motor

I replaced the rotor on the one I just sold because the speed pickup magnet was cracked in numerous places. It still worked but who knows how much longer it would have been until a chunk decided to depart it's home and chowder things up. I wouldn't be surprised if OP has the same issue. I've seen it on more than one table now.
Hello. I just got my hands on a replacement motor. It seems to spin perfectly so I am hoping for the best. Is there any kind of maintenance I should perform on this motor before I install it? Such as lubrication or cleaning? Thanks.
 
Can you please list your steps to get the motor disassembled?
I just pulled up firmly holding under the plastic sprocket while holding on to the metal base. You have to pull hard to overcome the magnetic force holding it together. I was able to do this on the faulty motor and the new one so I’m sure it will work for you. I tried taking some photos of how I did it. I hope this helps.

Yeah, I have one of these and would like to know also. Seems like the biggest problem with these TTs is the failing capacitors and corrosive glue on the pcb, not motor failure.
I want to attempt to recap the power supply board. How would you recommend cleaning the leaked glue from the capacitors that has leaked onto the pcb?
 
I'd scrape as much off as I could using a plastic spudger/bamboo toothpick and then move up to gently using a small flat bladed screwdriver. Once you've scraped off as much as possible, acetone or 99% isopropyl should dissolve the remnants. I used isopropyl first and only put acetone on the really stubborn spots as it is much more caustic to adjacent plastics.

Zoom spout turbine oil is good for the bearing well. I used a bit of WD-40 followed by alcohol to clean out the well (be careful, the delrin thrust plate can come out) and flipped the thrust plate over to expose the non-dimpled side. I then lubed up the spindle and put a small amount of lube on the bronze bushing and let gravity seat the shaft most of the way.
