I just picked up a pair of JVC SP-97's.
They sound great, lots of bass however both tweeters are not working. Does anyone have info on where i can get a set of tweeters for these? JVC or another brand for replacement?
Thanks.

Welcome to AK, Moon.

Before embarking on a replacement mission, do a little investigation. Pull the tweeters and check their resistance with a multimeter. Set the meter to "ohms" and attach the meter leads to the tweeter terminals. Once you have the readings, post again and tell us what they are. It would also be very helpful if you give us pics of the back of the tweeters along with dimensions in case replacements are needed. My point is that your current tweets may be ok, or repairable. We just need more info in order to know which way to go.

Ok. Thanks. I will try that and post pics.
Thanks for the tip. I will post update with pics soon.

I was just given a pair of JVC SP-97's and one of the tweeters is out on mine as well. Wondering if you ever got anywhere with yours. Thanks!

Been quiet for six years. Pull your tweeter and post pics. It could be JVC made, or from a supplier they used. These look like they were part of a rack system setup. I looked them up, and generally most state bass is good, otherwise average consumer grade speakers. You could probably improve the sound with better mids and tweeters. Once you know their specs, look for better drivers. Also, post some pics of the cab interiors. Their construction quality will tell you a lot.
