White people, black people, Asian people, Hispanic people.... none of them as a group have it bad in this country, their life is what they make of it in this country. I agree Dukiedook. Artists have been sampling other artists forever. Hearing a guitar riff or some aspect of a vocal run and incorporating it into one's own composition has been going on long before computers, they just made it easier in certain ways. And I couldn't agree more about the comparison you made between West and Spector, and just because I like Spector's output more than West's doesn't change the essential truth of the matter.
 
At least Spector is rotting in jail. Asshole that he is. But Kanye hasn't killed anyone so, you know. He's not as much of an asshole as Spector.

Although Kanye should be arrested for murdering that Queen song. Lol.

Yes.... and consider in light of that we are the American public to whom that refers. I understand how the phrase is generally applied but personally, I don't feel it. There are times, more and more, I feel like Charlton Heston in that first Planet of the Apes movie where they finally catch him with a chain net and the absurdity of the situation makes him scream 'It's a Mad House'.... everything thing is being inverted from it's natural order.
