KLH Quincy

Motorcycles and Music
I’ve found a pair of KLH Quincy’s locally listed for $100. I can’t find much on them in way of reviews or opinions. What’s the consensus on these? Thanks

These sell new on Amazon for $750, list at $499 each on the KLH website. Let us know how they sound if you get them; I've been very curious since the KLH brand was relaunched.

Just picked them up, they seriously look like they were just taken out of the box. I could find a single blemish!

I got them hooked and gave them a test run. I should preface my review with two disclaimers:
1. I’m a newbie
2. The only thing I have to compare them to are the Advents that are my main speakers.
So I didn’t need them at all but they were $60! So I scooped them up, ran them home, gave them a quick cleaning and hooked them up. Like I’ve already mentioned, all I have to compare them to is my Advent 6003’s and long story short, they don’t compare at all. For lack of a larger audio vocabulary I would describe them as just sounding smaller with less detail. They actually sounded pretty good, just not very close to what I have. The good news is I’ve already got them sold to friend so no harm no foul. On to the next pair!

And that is how we learn what we like and what equipment to avoid in the future. In this case, you had to be the one to find out and tell. It would be more helpful to have pictures so that others would know exactly which speakers you are referring to.
