That's the thing about these amps, given the sound quality, build quality, overall performance by current standards, and original 1997 purchase price(MSRP $12,500.00)..................... These are some of the truest bargains to be had in the world of amplification, it's still a high end, TOTL amplifier with very few peers.
To echo damacman's sentiments, it won't be for sale for long at that price.
If it's local, that's also a significant bonus as the cost for crating and shipping(182 lbs) that beast will be far from peanuts.

Dude ... OMG ... you don’t have your wallet out yet?From the info I have been able to find online, it seems like $3,500 is a pretty decent price. I am so excited to hear and most likely buy this amp. I'm going from an Adcom to a Krell, and everyone states it will crush my Adcoms on pretty much every level!

The amp is currently getting re-capped and should be done here in the next week. He said that I am first on the list (thank God!!) and will call me once it is done. It is 3 1/2 hours away, so as soon as he gives me the green light that it's done, I'm going to be going on a road trip with my brother, friend, and myself. This is kind of the first 'hifi' component that any of us have bought!

It's gonna need a better outlet and AC mains run than was adequate for the Adcom.

It sounds like a bargain to me. I particularly like the power output results in the stereophile review...

Rated output level is 28dBW, 600W, 8 ohms—and this amplifier could hold to this level at all loads and frequencies, 20Hz-20kHz, 8 ohms down to 2 ohms.
I wasn't able to run my long-term continuous testing at 2 ohms, but compromised with five-second bursts—long by peak-measurement practice (eg, 20ms). The FPB 600 could sustain a 29.3dBW level into this load, corresponding to 3.4kWpc—an extraordinary figure.
Driven on a toneburst equivalent to peak program duty at 8 ohms, it reached to touch the 1kW line, while at 4 ohms it attained 1.85kW, and for 2 ohms 3.53kW. And for 1 ohm—wait for it—an amazing 6kW! These are single-channel results, but, measured as short-term ratings, they should be available from both channels simultaneously"

I have a couple of them I picked up last year, but due to the electrical requirements have not hooked them up yet. Bought a scissor jack cart just so I could move them by myself. Will be interested in your hearing impressions when you get it all setup.

Picked up a couple!? How many Krells do you have?? lol Well, I just checked and my whole house runs on 20 amp breakers (what krell recommends). Now, I just need to call an electrician to see how much it would cost to put a direct line in!

That is a steal if it has been completely recapped. That alone costs about 2K. Minimum line should be 30amps if it was mine. I have 4 Krell Mono blks in my listening room MDA500's and KMA400's and the room gets HOT.
This is a great stereo amp and will need the best associated equipment to be used with it for your audio nirvana. Be careful not to smoke your speakers
