Got a later start than planned this morning, but had a nice short, steep hike to the Heybrook Lookout in the North Cascades. The view today was pretty nice; much better than it was the last time I was up this spring. First pic is looking SE at Baring Mountain and beyond, second is looking SW at Mt. Index (left) and Mt. Persis. This view is REALLY something in the winter when there is snow.

Close to the date harvest in our area. One of the only places in the world these grow. They are bagged "on the tree" to protect from birds.
