Here are some pictures of my lava lamps. They are sitting atop of my realistic optimus-27 speakers.I also had a set (2) color organs from radio shack also.there long gone. boxes fell apart .http://www.radioshackcatalogs.com/catalogs/1977/ pages 22-23 bottom right hand corner on page 23.They where $29.95. I got my set for free. So now just have my 2 lava lamps.. there not the vintage ones. They are from Walmart..

....I'm in the club!!
...Boxing Day....running the vintage lamp for the first time while listening to tunes for 3 hours with my bride
...pretty nice day!!!

^^^Thanks for bumping my thread, Elcoholic! That Tequilla lamp is incredibly cool! I never saw a lamp like that. You need to show a shot with BOTH lamps lit.^^^

Truth be told it's a bottle of tequila on a glass shelf with an Ikea Jansjo LED lamp under it. I may do something more permanent with it after the Tequila is gone.

I used to have one back in the time when you got a free one when you bought a waterbed at a certain store here. All I needed was red shag carpet.

I just turned the thing on, noticed it was covered in 5 layers of dust and fingerprints, so I'm cleaning it up and will post a pic in a little while when it gets going.

There is another "bottle" in the basement on the kid's shelf, but I don't know where the lamp part went.

In the meantime, if anyone knows what THIS is (see pic) I'll be impressed. I'll be MORE impressed if someone HAS one!

Yes, please do post the photos! I do not recognize that lamp. If it had a sealed globe, it would look like a Tesla device. Please tell us!

It's not a lamp. It is a lawn sprinkler! There's a place to attach a hose on the side and the "loop" spins and sprays water. I saw it in a tent at a local fair and it was so bizzaar looking I had to have it for my desk.

Here's the reason for the thread...

Not even if I were given 1,000 guesses would I have said Lawn sprinkler!

Thanks for the lava!

I didn't know that's what it was until AFTER I bought it! I thought it was just a "so ugly it's cool" item for my desk. The "globe" is just a silver Christmas tree ornament. I LOVE stuff like that! I have a small tight beam spotlight that went with a mirror ball my kids wrecked. When you turn off the lights and shine it on that ornament it makes a cool reflected light in the room.
