I tried that last night, ended up smashing my toe pretty bad. Asked my wife if we should call an ambulance, she thought a "tow" truck was a better idea. I tell ya...I get no respect.

I have the 2 Carver pieces (m500t+CT7 pre)just signed by Bob Carver which was cool
and we will start at the bottom for the rest. I have a Monarchy Audio DIP going into a MSB Link111 full Nelson Dac with the big power supply..why a dac might need 8amps..lol, then i have a Sony CDP X77esd..my favorite cd player.
The next shelf has a Bryston11b pre, and an Acurus ACD11 cd player, decent but no where near the caliber of my recently added Sony..hard to beat that one.
On the top i have the Carvers as well as A Monarchy Audio VAA120 running 6550s(waiting on new tubes)....i switch between the carver and the tube power, if im really listening to vinyl or just paying attention i like the tubes but if background tv/digi satt music running kinda thing i run the Carver to save burning tubes for 8hrs at a time..oh and my Rotel RP855 tt.
For speakers im using Heathkit ASX 1383s..cool and pretty rare, i would like to audition a modern set.
Damn thats alot of stuff..lol, i have been bitten by the audio bug for the last year or so and picking up cool pieces along the way..just hate parting with old stuff..lol, its a problem
but i try to use everything via rotation.Cheers

Have a pair of these. They are called "Link'd" and were made for Spencer's gifts. I'm guessing maybe in the 90s. Not sure on age.
I liked them because they have 2 globes per lamp. The liquid is yellow and the lava is red thus giving them a bit of an orange glow when they are flowing.
I also have an original Mathmos Fireflow 01 which is a green glitter but uses a tealight and another larger tealight lava lamp from Auras Glow but these are my favorite.

wow! Nice post! I never saw anything like this thing. Is it possible to take another shot when the wax is more fluid and in motion? That thing is cool, whatever it is!
