A friend got a 1-watt Vox amp for his birthday. We blew it up in one day. :)

Three of my four original Pignose amps are still cooking!
Well, that was a happy birthday.
Was the tiny Vox SS?
On a side note, the cranky, drunky neighbor that lives next to me called the cops yesterday when my son's band was practicing in my garage with the Door open. Everyone else on the block was out enjoying the music.
She was even taking a video of it. The cops never came though. Unless it's late at night noise complaints get ignored. It was a nice practice session.
He had a new drummer that picked up everything fast and sounded great.

Finally placing orders for all the parts I need to fix and hotrod my Custom 68 Deluxe Reverb. Putting in a switch to the negative feedback setting to still allow the early break up and hiss of stock AND raise the value for less hiss and more headroom, Replacing the crapping out filter caps and upgrading the values to tighten the low end at high volumes, then putting in the recommended repair for Vibrato ticking... and slow the range down.

That's is one sweet collection there Byoungman. Wow! I owned a Gibson Discoverer back in '67. Mine was dated from about '64 I think. I used it with my White Gibson SG Jr. that I bought new '66.

I found my Traynor Mark 3 Combo at an estate sale about a year ago with all original Philips tubes in mint condition. The older fellow played an accordion with it around the house. Total $50 with an extra set of unused tubes!

I also have a SWR Strawberry Blonde for my acoustic & P-bass.

This setup roars with the Eleven Rack. Probably one of the cleanest YSR-1's you can find and the 2x12 tall matching cab has original greenbacks from the 70s

Those are really well built amps. I use to own a bassmate and a beefed up bassmaster. I gigged that amp on different states. It can sound very close to the old marshall 60's with 6L6. I spent a lot of money in having it totally modified. A close friend of mine end up having it after all these years. I just gave it to him in 2011 for I wasn't playing that much anymore.

Picked this monster up for $20 because it came with no IUE power cord. 2 different amp sections that you can blend. I mainly have tube amps but I do have 3 Line 6 amps. They are a great value for modelers. This 100w beast is no exception

As treat for you guys here's a couple . Probably the rarest production amps out there, less that 70 built. For sure THE rarest amp I've ever owned. This image hasn't ever been posted. #32 on the Rt and #46 on the left.
I've often been asked what it sounded like, one of the questions I avoid answering since no 2 people hear the same thing, but here's what I can up with: If a properly tapped, and poured, Guinness Stout had a sound it would be this amp.
Was it my favorite? probably not.
