It was a packed crowd of guitar nerds and gear geeks and loads of pedal vendors, mostly local-ish from the Northeast Corridor, Boston, NYC, Philadelphia & Boston, but also including Chase Bliss & Earthquaker Devices from the midwest & Phillipe from Carolina Pedal Co in SC:

Very Rickenbacker, the horns and most of the body shape, sans bottom bout angle.

Do you always go sparkle on the finish? No criticism at all just a question. Probably easier to hide finish flaws but your work, binding, etc. seems to be of a high quality.

Sometimes I want to see your creations in solid colors or sunburst.

The idea was to pay tribute to an iconic design, but make it something else entirely and not a mere copy.
I can do any color you want, as long as it sparkles. I don't do solid colors- every other finisher does that; I specialize in jumbo flake finishes- nobody else does them, at least not that I'm aware of. Not even the great Marty Bell does flake like I do.

I have another burst that goes from violet small flake to dark purple jumbo flake that's in the spray booth right now & should be delivered by the end of the month.

I guess this could go here. A few of my rarities. Not shown: Boss CE-2 silver screw “long dash” Chorus. I have lent it out to players in Nashville and have been asked to sell it, but that’s definitely a keeper.

This is the only effects device I ever used-



2 channel delay that can run the delay at the same time as either the flanger or chorus.

4 button foot pedal that required a stereo 1/4" cable.

It freaked out about 10 years ago and I never found anyone to repair it.

Found an earlier version on ebay but the sound is not as good and kind of "leaks" between the channels.

Ooops- scratch that, I also have both analog and digital wah pedals.

My modest collection of cheap fuzz pedals. I especially like the Absolute Zero, Fuzzface and G-Fuzz.

The Mini Muff, I modified with E-H BMP spec 1N4148 clipping diodes. I forget what was originally in there.

Oh heck yeah.

EDIT: I need to say the earlier YJM Strats had a shallower and narrower scallop. That is, the actual scallop was maybe a quarter inch wide while the rest of the fretboard was flat between frets.

My Strat is a 2007 which has the actual fret-to-fret scalloping.

I also have a heavily modified Blackmore Strat with the graduated scallops.

I ought to post it here.

For me? Not really too much to get used to. I always had a light touch.

As one jazz guitarist teacher I had would say, just push as hard as you need to play the note. Anything else is excess.

I will say I like the Blsckmore scallop more. That’s been my go-to guitar for quite a while.
