I have never considered myself normal. :nono: I never fit in with the 'normal' crowd and proud of it. :yes: This explains no girlfriend/wife, few close friends, no drugs, no alcohol. Basically no life as the 'normal' crowd would see it. But I live happily with my vintage and music/concert/movie collection just fine.
Back in the day of the Motley Crue look I had women picking me up nightly at the club. Nowdays they don't even look twice. :tears: Suits me fine. I have created a world of my own at home.

I too have the massive concert, cd tape, vinyl collection and love it here at the "Box" as my friends call it.

You are correct sir! Bought two pairs new in 1986. Radio Shack half price sale. Have used them exclusively since. Had one pair's woofers professionally refoamed a few years ago. And I took on the other pair myself in July of 05'. Also a pair of Mach Ones are in use atop some HPM-200's in mybedroom system. I have some CS-88's, CS-99A's, and some Kenwoods. But I have always been partial to the Twos. They sound great with surround movies and are perfect speakers for my personal tastes. I like to Rock! so they do the job for me.The Ones are no slackers either!
By the way I know someone in Murfreesboro, TN that wants to sell a pair of Mach Twos if someone local to them is interested. I have no idea the price or condition as this time.

Well I have had a pair adorning the top M2 since around 87. I blew the original Realistic ones while sending a keyboard thru them at very high volume and replaced them with the newly badged Radio Shack ones. I bought them intially out of curiousity. I had no idea if they would even sound good with the M2's. Well once I tried them I was hooked. They just catch that hi-hat tsss tsss sound and project it nicely. A friend recently came by. He has a SX-949 with some HPM-100's and some homemade cabs with subs in them. He had heard my setup in it's prior configuration but not at my new home. I sat him in the sweet spot and ran about three pre-arranged tunes at about 150 watts peak. He was amazed and kept asking about the super tweets. He shouted at one point Damn! Those super tweets are hot!. He inquired how you hook them up and mentioned he was going to try to get some. I know there not for everyone. But they do compliment the M2's without over powering the soundstage with piercing highs. They just add that oh so sweet tss tss to vocals and cymbals. I see them get snatched up on ebay all the time. Even tho the M2's are great speakers, don't know if I could run them without the supertweets. I have just grown accustomed to that sound.

The lighted sign I won on ebay from Australia if IIRC. I battled someone for it, they got tired of trying to outbid me and contacted me to find out who I was. I guess they may have thought some young kid was playing games. Wind up costing more than I wanted to spend but then again I have gotten so many bargains on gear it all evens out. Fits oh so perfect in that space at the bottom of the rack otherwise an empty boring space would be seen. Its on anytime the SPEC is on. So while watching movies it reminds you of the walkway track lights at public theaters as I turn out all the other room lights except for the sign.
Well I am with ya brother. Not too many have the courage to keep thier hair long or have to conform to societies rules. I used to hear women loved guys with long hair? :scratch2: But I keep it this way for personal reasons. When I got divorced I decided I was tired of being manipulated and kept on a short leash. So I reverted back to who I really am. So what you see is what you get. :thmbsp:

I thought I would share my living room setup with you. Up front driving two hpm 100's is a sx-1250. Taking power to the rear is an sa-9800 via two Mach Ones. This is all hooked up to a computer. When it's not doing musical duty it doubles as a kick ass theater setup. The computer decodes the dolby digital 5.1 and sends the front signal to the sx-1250, and the rear to the sa-9800. The center channel is a sa-608 hooked up to three klipsch speakers. The end result smokes most home theaters I've heard for the price. Hell it smokes anything i've heard. The bass kicks! If I had any kidney stones they're gone now! Who needs subs? My end goal has been achieved, which is using my old gear in a multimedia setup. I can play cds, high quality streams, mp3s(I know some sound like crap), movies, and occasional vinyl. All this through the best gear the audio industry had to offer. Vintage meets new! Always a croud pleaser!

That 9100 in Quad ought to kick a**!!! Just am putting the finishing touches on a QX 8000 receiver. Very underated. Get a chance buy one. I power a pr of JBL L100's and a pr of Dynaco A25s with it. Great sound and they dont go for much...Have 4 now.gave aa 5th one away to a friend.
