Here's one of my Fishers (the newest addition to the stable), a rejuvinated 660-A:

I should have a matching 440-A finished at some point in the not-too-distant future (although there is a high probability that one OPT is toast...still looking for a replacement).

Probably '66 or '67. Fisher didn't label their serial's so you could deduce dates from them. However the 500C was in production from 1963 IIRC, to approx 1968. They started their serials @ 10000 from what I've seen of Mid 50's gear and newer. Figure at least 10000 per year?!? Which would fit with 1966 or 67.

Look at the various coils and transformers on the top of the chassis, often the ones with the adjustment openings. They almost always have dates imprinted on them which will likely indicate when Fisher manufactured your receiver. Sometimes they used a part from a year or two earlier, but the preponderance of the parts will yield the likely year.
 
Dang, if that don't look almost like an Early Kenwood. That's probably the only 70's FISHER Series I like for Looks.

What kind of speakers did Fisher put in the console? Do you know if they fitted any of their XP Heritage line?
