Let's talk about Artificial Intelligence. Scared yet?

As of yesterday, it isn't working. Better tell your CHAT bot to get on the ball.
You should report all these reels you are watching as exploitation and that you don't like them. That will stop you from seeing them.
Also the chat bot just said that ways to stop online predators are being developed.

You
Will AI help In the prevention of diabetes

ChatGPT
AI has the potential to contribute significantly to the prevention of diabetes by analyzing large datasets to identify risk factors, personalized interventions, and early detection methods. Machine learning algorithms can assist in predicting individual risk, allowing for targeted interventions and lifestyle modifications. Additionally, AI can aid in developing more efficient and precise diagnostic tools, enhancing preventive healthcare efforts.

You
Will AI be used to help cure diabetes

ChatGPT
While AI may not directly cure diabetes, it can play a crucial role in diabetes research and management. AI technologies can assist in analyzing vast amounts of data, identifying patterns, and discovering potential treatments or therapies. AI-driven innovations might contribute to developing more effective medications, personalized treatment plans, and advanced monitoring systems for diabetes management. However, a comprehensive cure for diabetes may still require a multi-faceted approach involving various medical and scientific advancements.

You
Will AI be used by food scientists to create foods that are more likely to cause diabetes

ChatGPT
AI can be employed in food science to optimize formulations, enhance nutritional profiles, and develop healthier food options. The goal is often to create products that are less likely to contribute to health issues, including diabetes. AI can assist in analyzing the impact of different ingredients on health outcomes, helping food scientists make informed decisions to formulate products that align with health guidelines.
However, it's essential to consider ethical considerations and ensure that AI is used responsibly to prioritize public health. The intention is generally to leverage AI to improve food quality and promote healthier choices rather than to create foods that are more likely to cause health issues.

To say that fathers or anyone else is just turning a blind eye to abuse and predators is wrong.
I find it interesting that, after (more or less) chastising @DesertRatt for making a generalized statement, you go on to make one of your own. Rules for thee, but not for me?

I recall (from decades ago) an on air interview of a porn star, who stated that most of the people in the 'business' had been abused by their father, mother, uncle, etc. To imply that no one is turning a blind eye to abuse would be laughable, were it not so sad.

The blind eye is very real. Partly because people are too wrapped up in their own lives, and partly because they find it too uncomfortable to believe that it's actually happening; and some that are apathetic to anything that does not directly affect them.

And then there are those who, although they themselves are not abusive, are so uninvolved in their children's lives that they have no idea what they may be doing, or watching on the net. Children who don't feel loved (and there are myriad) are easy targets of predators.

For some I believe the blind eye is subconsciously intentional, as it relives them of any guilt they may feel for not doing anything about the problem. And, like any other problem, one must first admit that there is a problem.

I am obviously not saying their isn't a problem. Of course their is. To say that all fathers aren't doing anything to stop abuse is absurd.

I have seen the recent uptick in these reels that are pushing the boundaries set up by Facebook.
I am also a straight male of a certain age.

Many older straight men interact with these reels so FB assumes I also would enjoy them. I do not. Was very close to deleting the app recently because of the reels. But have since decided just to not watch them.

Straight females would likely see entirely different reels like hunky dudes.

Two people can agree their is a problem but see it differently.
To say all children are being groomed by the evil corporation - or others- for some nefarious agenda is the part I don't agree with based on my experience with lots of real life children.

Obviously @DesertRatt should be concerned by these reels but one shouldn't automatically assume children are seeing them or even on FB.

The Dirty Old Men are the real problem here they are the ones interacting and direct messaging and paying to see more.

Not calling desertratt a dirty old man I think it's admirable it concerns him. Telling me it's somehow my fault for not battling the entire system is what I am bothered about.

I had an experience with some dirty old men pre internet. My friends and I went into a store because we heard they had stink bombs. Also had a dirty mag section because they told us. Then they were cool with us browsing but not buying. We never went back those dudes were weird.

Read the piece I posted from Forbes. It describes how the young girls collect direct payment from the men. These payments are pocket money for young girls. That's grooming. The payments get bigger as the poses and acts get nastier. You dig?
Girls that accept bigger payments will soon get recruited for live action.

I fail to see how any adult doesn't see the way this works. The porn kings are some of the most ruthless and violent pigs on the planet and they have an insatiable appetite for new young talent. I beg you to look deeper and understand this danger.

Snapchat is even worse than Tiktok. Hopefully someone with a conscious and the technical know how will develop AI to stop all child exploitation.

You guys assume since we don't get all lattered up we don't get it.

One more try, WE KNOW IT IS Happening

I think everyone gets it.

Your just getting a different POV/perspective of the same issues.

That's ok ;)
At least their is something I think we can all agree on AI music sucks!

I don't know. Heard some AI vocals of dead folks on the radio a couple weeks ago. Actually sounded pretty good. Skeptical radio dudes were saying the same.
That's more of a novelty. With some questionable ethics. I am talking about AI music that s generated by AI that isn't tied in with anyone famous.
I walked into a gas station and the guy was playing some awful music. I asked him who it was and he showed me the name. I looked it up and found nothing. So I am assuming it was AI. Horrible.

What if he liked it?
He might have. It was supposed to be an up beat playlist from Spotify. I don't think he had any idea who it was so that's why he showed me the phone. Many are just casual listeners so they probably don't care as much as those who are more serious about music I guess.
Still doesn't mean it's good music but if that's all you know then I guess it doesn't matter.
Will be interesting to see how pervasive AI music becomes. And if someday I will like any of it. So far it's a no.

What if he liked it?
I also should mention I was nice about asking. I hear music often that I don't care for. My Sons like The band Dystopia. They aren't AI but I bet that style - Teenage angst Death metal- will be mimicked by AI.

I just asked like I was interested but really I am just making sure I don't play the music accidentally. Lol.

I wasn't like your music sucks dude you should listen to the The Legendary Pink Dots or The Groundhogs. What's wrong with you geez..:)

That's Corey Greenburg on Nirvana, put me off them pretty much forever.
