Looking for some bass

I like the bass on my Rectilinear III lowboys. Need a little power to open up though. They can be acquired relatively inexpensively due to lack of name recognition. Although C-V D7s would probably be the go-to for the unrepentant basshead that wants a more efficient pair of speakers.
I was really impressed with the bass output from the Infinity RS III b’s that I had for a short while

Subs all the way, simply find what excels in every other aspect and add subs powered or passive your choice, more economic and way the hell easier than searching for a do it all speaker that won't bust most budgets. I am using a pair of Peavey SPFH 18" folded horns, I paid $450 for the pair and after recentering one of the magnets which was causing some bad ju ju ear wise and adding active sound management, a big amp I am now never short on bass. My experience anyway and I am sure some will scoff at using live sound or PA gear but then isn't live sound what we are trying to achieve in essense so maybe not so bad sometimes, anyway it's working pretty damn good for me. Oh yeah the active sound management was very necessary.

Not a large selection. Vegas are not really well known for being easy to emulate or improve on what they do.

I had a pair of D9's speaking of Cerwin Vega and while they did not excel at anything in particular but did indeed produce a good amount of low bass so I employed them as subwoofers in conjunction with other speakers and they did the job filling in where my Altec A7's fell short.

Bang for the buck - PSB speakers will surprise you. Pick a model. Detailed and full. I describe them as enchanting.

If you stumble across some DCM KX series speakers from the 90's.you should do well. They were designed to emulate the CV speakers.

I agree with the DCM Kx series recommendations for sure. Another model to look out for, which can be found quite often at reasonable prices are the MTX series speakers. Came out in the 90's I believe, an I was really suprised at what they did good. Killer low end an with a very smooth midrange an clear highs. Models that I know of are Aal 1030 an Aal 1540 ( not to be confused with another brand AAL speakers, totally different) here's a pic of the 1030's 10" 3 way bass reflex design, and the 1540 is the biggest model I believe

Not my quote, but it's very possible. Long term vibration can back out nails and loosen nuts. Crack plaster and drywall seams. Mine vibrated stuff in the neighbors house. Speakers were in the room on their side of the house with about twenty feet of air and their two car attached garage in between.

But there is a huge difference in output of one 12" subwoofer , versus (8) 18" subs in a room. Shaking takes on a whole other meaning.

I'm using two mono Dynaco Mk lll tube amps with Pas3 premap and 2 way AR4x bookshelf speakers, I'd actually like to try and add a discrete subwoofer into the chain. How does one add a subwoofer into this configuration?

Two methods, depending on which type of powered subwoofer you wind up with. Most have both. though so you have a choice. Either works well.
If you get one with speaker level inputs, simply run it in parallel with your mains. Your setup won't even know it.s there
If you get one with right and left line level inputs, a pair of F/F/M "Y" splitters between the preamp and power amps will do. I would avoid any subwoofer with just one line level inputs.

No, a powered subwoofer presents a very high impedance to the amp. It's essentially invisible to the driving amp

Do you want low bass extension or a loud mid bass bump?.
For low bass extension try the Fisher XP10. You will need 80 plus watts minimum and a tweeter swap of you taste. The crossover is fine.
If you're down on power then try the Wharfedale W70D. Also with a tweeter swap. The crossover is fine.
If all you want is rock then the Kenwood KL777A will put the drums in the room without the bump and bloom. It does an excellent job playing distortion also. No changes needed on this one. Best used at 100 watts. But works with 10.
