Does anyone out there know what replacement relay I would need for a Luxman R-1050 and where to get one. SM says its a MAT4B-BR12V, but can't seem to find much on that on internet.

It should be a 12 volt relay. Identify where the contacts are on the mounting side and compare to what Digikey has for dimensions and current ratings. I would think a 10 amp relay would be adequate, but on the off hand you find a 20 amp relay with that same footprint- go with that instead.

10A? 20A? Not by a longshot. The pic I see here suggests a MY4-style relay. If 12V, then that would make it a MY4-02-DC12, rated at 3A per contact.

The relay in the pic in the thread that EW linked has the same first line number as the one in an R-1120 receiver that I took a picture of and posted a while ago. Here is that pic:

I replaced this relay with a Mouser 653-MY4-02-DC12, Omron relay.

I can not read the rest of the information on the R-1050 relay so that is up to you. But EW does point out the correct relay for the receiver I was working on a Luxman R-1120.

I beleive you hit the nail right on the head. The 1 in EW's pic is the exact model of the one I have. Thank you blue shadow and echo wars for your help. I didn't imagine that there were so many different types of relays. This site is a great help and very informative. I'm glad and honored to be a member. thanks again. The MY4-02-DC12 Omron relay is the ticket.
