These units are definitely not noisy by nature. When rebuilt they sound as nice as any 2220/2230/1060. I didn't see mention of replacing the filter cap yet. Maybe the issue? But I'll defer to @rBuckner on the troubleshooting.
I do plan on replacing the filter cap. But need to wait until I get enough parts for a full order. I just picked up a 2250 yesterday and will see what it needs.
