Hello,

I am trying to find a site that explains how to replace the bulbs in the marantz 2270. Any ideas?

Thanks, thanks and thanks

Its simple, remove the metal cover of the receiver. Then find the front lamp assembly. There should be two screws that join a metal lamp assembly to the plastic housing. Unscrew those two screws and pull the metal back, there should be 5 or 6 fuse lamps. Replace those with new lights, and reverse the process. There should be one screw holding on the two meter lights, but that is separate. Same things apply to that.

I highly recommend replacing with LEDs from whsh93a. They look MUCH better than incandescent, last longer (pretty much forever) and don't melt the plastic housing which SUCKS when it happens.

There's no plastichousing onboard the 2270 - it's metal. - but off course, you're right in all the cases where the housing is made of plastic on other models. It's furthermore adviceable to keep down the temperature or should I say not increase the temperature by sticking to original fuse lamps that are no more than 8V 200 mA's. I understand the LED-light solution, but if you want to keep the original apperance and construction on the 2270 - you fine with 200mA incandecent fuse-lamps.

best regards
Freddy
