Does anyone know which model Marantz Imperial this is? I can't seem to find the exact model on Google. I am pretty sure the price is too high but:scratch2:

That's kinda' where I'm at Dave. I may contact the seller and see if he can give me more information? I just need to decide if I am really that interested?

By the standards of the Marantz Imperial 8 and 9, those are pretty tame as far as the number of drivers is concerned.

That said, the 8 and 9 are only three-way systems...

The ribbed woofer cones are also all wrong for the Imperials, which used blue smooth paper cones from CTS (some of the 7s and below had black cones, but blue was the standard).

Not to split hairs but isn't the literal definition of a Kabuki a speaker that has at least five drivers, one being a 15" woofer, in a smaller cabinet?:tongue: I think that's a port on the upper left side of the baffle not a driver? Also, the woofer is probably a 12 incher. Maybe Kabuki light or wanna-be Kabuki?

Well, for $300 I would think you could do much better. I see a couple of phenolic ring tweeters, a pretty nondescript looking mid and woofer in a vinyl-clad cabinet. They might be wonderful, but I'm just not seeing $300 worth there.
