Marantz tech in the Bay Area?

Cousin got a 2252 that’s sat in a work shop for the last 30 years. Working but needs a rebuild. Does anyone have any leads on a tech in the East Bay area or San Fran?

Thanks Craig.

I sure consider Martinez part of the East Bay, but only one bridge away from North Bay. I'd be happy with that location recommendation if I was still in the area.

Chris hasn't been on AK for some time now. The site he had up is gone too.
It was chock full of usefull info along with a library of service bulletins.

Aww, dang! Thanks for the report @Lavane!
Ya, he was a big help when I restored my modle 16 amp and 33 preamp.
I went to ask him about something last year or so and noticed he hadn't been on, then I went to check his site and it was gone. Maybe he just got too busy with his work.

Matt at Playhouse Electronics is great. Works out of his house on the southern tip of the city. Reasonable rates, good turnaround times, and just an all around nice guy. In his previous life he was a video game designer. Has an ad on the local Craigslist in the electronics section. I’ve used him for dozens of jobs on vintage equipment and never been disappointed, including a 2275 he just went through for me recently. I’ve recommended him to a couple friends and they’ve also been very happy with his work.
