Marantz Transistor/Diode/Trimmer Sub Guide

I wish there was a better sub for 2sc1318.
I wonder about 2SC3708S or T. Not available at Mouser, but is at Digikey.
2SC1318 — Vce=50V. Ic=0.5A. hFE=(Q:85-170), (R:120-240), (S:170-340)
2SC3708S - Vce=80V. Ic=0.5A. hFE=140-280
2SC3708T - Vce=80V. Ic=0.5A. hFE=200-400
Edit: minimum order looks large from Digikey.

They’ve recently added “marketplace products”. Seems kinda like Amazon third party sellers. The product you looked up actually comes from Rochester Electronics.
Yeah, and after an hour of looking., I can’t find anybody who sells them in quantities less than thousands.:(

Obviously, nothing else to do today but obsess over this. I found On-Semi KSC1008CYTA that looks pretty close to the 2SC1318.
Vce=60V, Ic= 0.7A, hFE= 120-240.
I’ve never used that one. Wonder if it would work?

2SC1318 TO-92 is still available.
My 1978 Fuji-Svea Japanese Transistor Substitution Guide says 2SD545 2SC1626 2SC1247A and 2SC1211 are good substitutes.

YMMV
Tom

Thanks Tom

I looked around for 2SC1318 with no luck. I will go through the data sheets and compare all your suggestions plus the one Steve suggested.

Another item that would be really helpful to add to the Sub-Guide could be the single-turn Bourns trimmers. I had a difficult time getting the right trimmers for my 2215, there are so many variations for the pin out.

2215 and 2230:
100K ohm = 3386F-1-104LF
470 ohm = 3386F-1-471LF

Done.....Or at least started with your subs. Anyone who wants to add trimmer subs for specific models, just put them in a post or PM me and I will add them. I can see how this would be useful to have all of the usual trimmer subs in one place.

The 2245 is missing page 27 in every SM I've found, and as luck would have it, Page 27 contains the specifics on the P750 L&R boards.

For a 2245, it's (4) 1K ohm trimmers:

(4) Bourns 3386H-1-202

Thanks!

EDIT: 2270 takes a 2.2K ohm - 3386H-1-222, and a 1K ohm - 3386H-1-102.

Thanks again for putting this altogether and keeping this up to date!
