Marantz Tuner suggestions

Someone is auctioning a 150 on AG. Ends next week. Be interesting what it ends up selling for.

Quote from the ad:

"Marantz 150 Tuner, which was Marantz's solid state version of the Classic Tubed Model 10B"

I believe the 20 holds that distinction. He also states the 150 uses the same scope as the 10b. I don't think so. Anyone know for sure?

It doesn't, the 10b scope tip is round and the 150 is square.

As is all too typical, that auction seller is just blowing smoke.
Yes, as bk said... different scope (i.e. 10B vs Model 150).
Myself... I tune in the station, using the scope; then, leave it on just long enough for the tuner to warm-up. Re-adjust the tuning, if necessary, and turn off the scope.
Don't want to have to worry about replacing the CRT, especially on the Models 20, 20B, as well as the 18 and 19 receivers... same CRT.
That CRT is no longer manufactured. Used are sometimes auctioned... generally for over $100.:thumbsdn:
Bummer!
