Marantz 1250 amp

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I thought I could combine them to achieve greater power and to have access to the tuner in the same system.

Well, you do have a tuner in the 2270.
You can hook up the tape out from the 2270 to the tuner (or any line ) input of the 1250.
Like this you can also use the phono preamp from the 2270 and have a second turntable connected.
In this way the tone controls and volume control of the 2270 are not used. And you can use the other inputs of the 2270 as well...

You could connect the pre-out on the 2270 to the main-in on the 1250 thereby using the 2270 as a pre-amp/tuner and the 1250 as a power amp. However, the 2270 has a very nice amplifier section and is powerful enough with good speakers to produce sufficient sound pressure levels for most household spaces. I If you're going to buy a tuner for the 1250, I chose the 150. It matches, is highly regarded, and I think was Marantz's intended combo.

The 120 or the 150 tuner matches better and they are a lot cheaper, current prices, than the 2110. Sell the 2270 and get the 1250 refurbished.

Greetings All!

I purchased a Marantz 2130 tuner to match with my 1250 amp
I'm still waiting for it to arrive. I'm hoping they will sound great together.
