Marrs up on Fraud Charges (Don't buy there!)

Yes, this is a sad tale.

There was a local business where I grew up-great service and knowledge of their product. It was a father\daughter team, with the periodic part time help from time to time. When dad passed, a lot of knowledge went with him. His daughter tried in vain to adapt, but the technology was changing fast, and she could not cope. Perhaps dad would have failed at that point. The business is long gone.

I give Krista points for trying to carry on what I have to think was more a labor of love for her dad. Sadly, I think this business will go away.

I refuse to do business with someone who doesn't use paragraphs in their 3rd person review....
Tough read.

Why this thread continues regarding a business which consistently screws people is beyond me?
Every poster who gets their order is suspect?
Ya, I ordered and mine came in 4 days!
Bull, Marrs is dead...

Not suspect. Lucky perhaps...

I'm glad I searched for "Marrs" on this site. I'm looking for a belt kit for a Yamaha KX-W321 and Marrs is the only vendor indicating they have them in the past two weeks. I called Krista at least five times to provide my credit card number. She didn't answer and she didn't call back. I just have one e-mail from her saying she has the kit. That message was dated June 11th and I haven't heard from her since.

Anyone here know where I can get belts for a Yamaha KX-W321?

you could check TurntableNeedles , it you have the old belt and can measure it they may have something . Shoot them an email and see what they say . You may want to google Marrs , just saying .

Stay away from Marrs, I was taken along with others even after several answered calls and emails with Krista. Once she received payment, not a peep.

I checked turntableneedles and didn't find the kit. I sent an e-mail asking them if they have the kit.

Thank you,
Mike

Personal check made out to Krista might get you better service?
You know, potentially tax free, no credit card charge, no paypal charge, etc...
Then again, in "Marrs time" 11 days is nothing. Could be 11 months. Or years.

Yes or a personal check might not end up with anything, based on the info from other comments in this thread.

i sent an email to Marrs communications on 10/30/20 asking the availability of belts for a Pioneer deck not listed. since then i have received multiple invoices to my email address from them. seems i am getting one each day saying past due. Krista emailed me they generate an invoice to save time, you can cancel at anytime. i found no place on the invoice to cancel. aside from being way over priced this feels like a scam. it remains to be seen if there are ramifications to this unwanted invoice, it is linked to an email address i use, so they have a toe in the door. if Krista does not respond to my emailed request to cancel an order i never placed will i have to resort to other actions to protect myself from fraud? thought folks should know, i find it an iffy way of doing biz that i want no part off.

Run don't walk as fast as you can away from this company. Trust me on this one. It is not worth the aggravation you will experience.

My first and last order with those people took four months and numerous emails to receive. Never again.
