MC 1502 power transformers are heavy!

Doing a replacement of a power transformer in a MC1502, about 35 Lbs. Getting too old for this new heavy stuff!

That's surprising to see.

Tri a late 60's MC 3500 transformer if you think only the new stuff is heavy some time. MC 2300 transformers from the early and middle 70's weren't light. They just keep getting heavier as the power output increases. A MC 1.25K transformer ought to be a real challenge.

Mechanical noise/hum, worst the warmer it got.
