mc275 serial number

I have an old mc275 with a very bad chrome chassis and the serial number is rubbed off. :tears:
Is there any place, perhaps inside the amp, where the number is repeated?

Pull the bottom and look around, a good many had the SN ink stamped inside.

When I open the bottom cover I see two stamped numbers.
They are 2711 3 just above the thermistor and 214E7 , see picture.
The chassis seems to be sanded or so, I think in rechroming it.
The NTC looks cracked, but still works. Is the value of this NTC critical?
Therry do you know witch number is the serialnumber?

214E7 is the serial number.

My serial number list shows the following for MC275 serial numbers:

10,001-10,147 May 1961-June 1961
100E1-572E9 June 1961-July 1973

Wow they made the MC275 for over 12 years.

The NTC resistor is OK at 7 to 25 ohms with the 7 ohm version rated at a higher continuous current, I use the 7 ohm CL50 for amplifiers and the 47 ohm CL80 for tuners.
