McIntosh MAC6700 or MA6700

[samurai7595]

Anyone own a McIntosh MAC6700 or MA6700 unit?

If so, are you happy with it & any advice/suggestions/regrets?

Also, what speakers are you using with your unit?

Anyone?

I've owned neither. But, you'll find several threads here in regards the MAC6700, all with glowing reviews. There for a while, I was kind of tired of guys opining about it!

I'm not really sure about the MA6700 as I don't hear much about it - looks to be a similar unit to the MAC6700 less the tuner.

I own a MAC6700 and am very pleased with it. The earlier models had HD tuners but recent ones do not. The MA6700 is available in Europe only. The equivalent in the states in the MA7900 which is a bit more in cost than the MAC6700. B&W N804 and asw800 are used with this unit in the family room.
