I think a thread on this subject here in a general forum is as useful as one in the cave where some Mac enthusiasts hide. I'd never have known about this had it not been posted here.

Look for some products to be manufactured in China. Sonus Faber just released their first line of speakers manufactured there (they will be at RMAF). SF still manufactures most of the products in Italy much as I would expect Mac to continue with the bulk being built in the U.S.. Anything is possible.

Based on the link sounds like a match made in heaven. Sounds like a very good future for McIntosh and of course the many owners.

Just look at all the other brands that have gone away.
It's good that McIntosh has lasted this long where others are history.
the only thing constant is change, so some day Mac will go too.
Just having read the artical Im sad it went to a foreign company and not the U.S.
But everything else is so mite as well be Mac too.
