Mlb 2013

When Helton is at first, for the Rockies, there's not many better at snagging and tagging. He has lost range and quickness(almost 40) but if the ball is close he'll get it. Preston

I'll be switching between the Cubs and Cardinals game (ESPN) and the regionally broadcast Rockies and Blue Jays tonight. Both ought to be interesting.

Manny Machado has looked like a future Hall of Famer since day one. The Rockies rookie 3rd baseman Nolan Arenado appears to be cast in the same mold. He is something special, too.

Anthony Rendon who was called up to play in place of an injured Danny Espinosa of the Nats is looking really good as well. I didn't know a lot about him, so I looked up his Wiki page. No damned wonder he's playing so well. His college career was something very special.

This is the first I've heard of Rendon, and it doesn't look like it will be the last. His college numbers are downright gaudy. I love seeing young guys getting a shot in the big leagues and making it count.

It was, except, the Rockies were up to their old tricks...leaving men in scoring position. Not the Blue Jays, they got to Matt Belisle in the eight for two runs and won the game. Preston

Reds stop hitting our players you dirty Fu*ks!! It's getting old...you guys hit Cutch purposely everytime we play you guys.

They like to try to intimidate. Kick their asses!

As a Cards fan we have had our share of run in's with the Reds. Including one hell of a brawl a few years ago.

I hope the Rockies' Roy Oswalt has a good outing against the Nats tonight in DC. He had a pretty clean first inning, but, there's a long way to go.

Watching the Cards play the Cubs. It is funny listening to the Cards announcers ripping the play of Cubs SS Castro. Back pockets turned inside out, not hustling to field a ground ball hit in the hole and backing up on a ground ball instead of moving in on it. I don't think they like the kid. LOL

Knee, last I saw Oswalt had given up 4. Are the Rockies trying to come back?

We only get to see the Bucs play when on ESPN or playing the Cards, but I have noticed they have been playing very well and closing the small gap in the NL Central.

Lady across the street is a HUGE Braves fan and talks smack to me everytime she sees me outside. She brags about her team being in 1st place in their division, yada, yada. I kind of shut her up a little when I told her if the Braves were in the NL Central they would be in 4th place. The look on her face was priceless. She is a very nice lady and we have a great time jabbering back and forth. I think the Cards/Braves meet up this coming week.
