Mlb 2013

Shame on me . I turned the Pirate game off in the top of the 9th when they were down by 3 runs . Of course they won .

The late starting Rangers/Cards game is turning out to be a dandy. The Cards just broke the scoreless tie with a Matt Carpenter home run in the 6th.

I had been looking forward to watching the game, but with the long rain delay by the time it started I had to be going to bed as I had to get up early. I saw the Rangers completed the sweep and won 2-1. Looks like it is gonna be a hell of a race in the NL Central. Fun stuff!

The 3 hour delay in the start of the game played right into my time disorientation from watching the 24 hours of Le Mans, so I saw all of it. It was a tight, well played game that unfortunately turned on the 7th inning error of Pete Kozma. What looked like a very manageable soft drive clanked off the heel of his glove with 2 outs and the game tied, and the winning run didn't end up stranded on base. Wainright was visibly pissed off at being pulled after 7 innings and 105 pitches. He was into it and really wanted to keep competing. He didn't.

Thanks for the update knee, I hadn't seen any highlights. Kozma has been pretty sure handed this year at SS. He hasn't made many errors. Wainright seems to be pitching very well since having Tommy John in 2011. Sounds like he knew he could go longer before he got pulled. But I don't blame them for pulling him after 105 pitches. It's a loooong season.

Pirates have second best record in baseball crazy right?

I am glad to see it. Sure makes baseball more fun when your team is playing well. Makes suffering through the lean years tolerable. Problem is the season is less than 1/2 over and LOTS of baseball to play. I am not a Pirates fan, although I don't despise then like the Reds and Cubbies.:D

I would love to see Stanton in a Pirates uniform.

But...it will probably never happen

The team has 2nd best record and nobody is hitting yet . I would not change a thing . Snyder will come along . Benching Barmas for Mercer was a must . AND , we have a Brandon Inge sighting !!! WOO-HOO

Hopefully they don't collapse after the all-star break. But.. one thing is different this year they have depth.
