Mlb 2013

Tonight I get to wave goodbye to the Dodgers as they leave the Rockies in the dust on their way to the division lead, as they are playing each other tonight in LA. They were in the cellar a little over a week ago, and now lie in 2nd, only 1.5 games behind Arizona. They are on fire.

LA is on fire, swept the D'backs and will most likely do the same to the Rockies...who have pitcher envy! Preston

The A's and Rays have the 27th and 28th lowest payrolls out of the 30 teams so it is nice to see that you don't have to be the NY Paychecks or Boston Bankaccounts to field a winner.

My O's have had a horrible July but should bounce back. The AL East has 4 out of 5 teams with at least 50 wins. It is going to be a dogfight the second half.

Pittsburgh has a lower payroll then Oakland.

NY's payroll is just ridiculous.

I'm hoping the Birds get back into contention. They're fun to watch, just like the Rays. :thmbsp:

We seem to be getting back on track. We have a 3-game winning streak and Davis seems to be coming out of his slump now that he has HR's in back to back games.

Rays nearly won 9 in a row! Lost 2-1. Today they won 4-3 against the lowly Astros so it makes 11 wins in the last 13 games (I'm pretty sure....:scratch2:)

O's are fighting through a tough July but Chris (Crush) Davis has already went yard again today. 4th HR in the last 4 games! He already has 90+ RBI's before the AS break.... :D
Looks like he is showing the league that last year was not a fluke.

I'm still callin' the Mariners to win it all this year. :D Our record isn't the greatest, for the 1st half of the season, but things still could turn around, & it looks like some more of our young guys are getting called up. :scratch2: :D

The Cardinals and Cubs are playing a truly entertaining game on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball right now. The Cubs just tied it at six runs apiece on a two out, two run, pinch hit double in the bottom of the eighth inning. It looks like the Cubs aren't pushovers this year. Good stuff.

Knee, I watched the game through the 8th when it got tied up at 6. Then had to shut it off and get some sleep. Had to set alarm for 3:30am for work. Only to get up and see a final score of 10-6 Cards. The Cards/Cubs rivalry has always been one I look forward to. Always fun stuff.

They said this rivalry has been going on for over 120 years. Both clubs have a great fan base who love to raz the other during a win. A friendly rivalry that everyone enjoys.

Sorry about that. We swept your Angels, to get a slingshot effect, into the second half. :D

I'm in Colorado and a Rockies fan, they split the four game series with the LA Dodgers...guess I should have been more specfic.

I'm glad that your Mariners are doing well, especially against the LA Angels...who, like the LA Dodgers have deep pockets and spend, spend, spend! Go Rockies and Mariners:D. Preston

Yeah, the Cardinals came up to bat in the top of the ninth and pretty much dropped an anvil on the Cubs hopes. They went quietly in their half of the ninth, and it was over. Damned good game to watch, I must say.

I figured they must have had a great 9th from the final score. I can't believe what their team batting average is with runners in scoring position. Molina began the game with a NL leading batting avg. of .334 and the team has a BA of .334 with runners in SP. That's a pretty crazy stat with almost 100 games played.
